The Game of Chance Left Two Without It

The game of chance - gambling has always been accompanied by risks, that more often than not lead to problems. And for those who decide to take chances, their only wish is to hit the jackpot. But of course not every gambler's wish come true. And for the two teeners from Montgomery, Alabama who took chances all turned out worse than expected. Both lost their chances - one forever and the other one for the meantime.

Markiee Seawright, 19 of 141-B Windywood Drive will never be able to take a chance again after he was found dead in his apartment, Thursday afternoon. He was allegedly shot by another teenager at around three in the afternoon after they argued over a dice game known as craps.

Meanwhile, Deandre Stringer, 18 of 5619 E. Shades Valley, the alleged shooter will have to wait before he can try his chances again in craps or any other games for he was awaiting a jury's decision. He was taken in custody by Montgomery police three and a half hours after the body of Seawright was found. He was however released after he was interrogated by the investigators without being charged of Seawright's death.

The police working on the case is looking into the angle that the afternoon slaying was in self-defense. And during the interrogation, this is what Stringer narrated - that he fired back at Seawright because he wanted to defend himself.

Lt. Ronald Cook, Montgomery police sporkesman said that based from the suspect's testimony, they got into an argument over one of the craps game they were playing. When the argument heated up, Seawright allegedly went to his apartment and when he returned he already carried a shotgun and began firng toward Stringer. Stringer fired back and one bullet fired from his gun hit Seawright in the side. The wound made him retreat to his apartment where he was found dead a few hours later.

Cook likewise said that the case will be handed over to a grand jury who will study, discuss and delibrate on its merits. Ater the delibration they will decide whether or not charges will be filed against Stringer for killing Seawright.

The police meanwhile found out that this was not the first time the two teenage boys figured in an argument. According to some witness, the two had a fight the night before the shooting. The reason of the fight however, was not known.
